In commemoration of 13th January, today, the Day of the Defenders of Freedom (Lithuanian: Laisvės Gynėjų Diena)
On Friday afternoon 9th of December 2022 the diplomas were awarded to 4th year students who came from the Kherson State Maritime Academy (KSMA) of Ukraine at the Lithuanian Maritime Academy. Students successfully defended their final theses and passed the qualifying exams. This diploma awarding ceremony was special because - the diplomas were awarded to the graduates of the KSMA of Ukraine, 44 graduates from seagoing study programs, who due to the current situation, have completed their studies at the LMA. Graduates were awarded by professional bachelor's diplomas during a cheerful and solemn celebration!

By implementing the Erasmus+ program at LMA, in 2022 were organized 18 mobilities in order to strengthen the staff's English language competences.

On 14th October 2022 higher education institutions in Klaipeda invited all active students to participate in the introductory training for ESN mentors. During them, a trainer from ESN Lithuania shared more information about ESN and its activities at the international and national level, discussed possible activities at the local level and created a team.
LMA staff visited the University of Split, Faculty of Maritime Studies, for teaching under the Erasmus+ program in October 2022.
A new academic year has started for the first-year students from different foreign countries and the LMA community. Three years ago we started international studies at LMA. We are happy with the growing spirit of internationalism, which inspires the diversity of cultures, the dissemination of experience and professional development for the LMA community. For today we have over 200 international students.
Studies at Lithuanian Maritime Academy under the Erasmus+ exchange program started with 19 students from Romania, Spain and Turkey.
