We are glad that the Erasmus+ program presentation event took place at LMA, during which the International Relations Department not only provided information to students about the conditions of the competition, study and practice opportunities abroad, but also heard the experiences of students who took advantage of the Erasmus+ program. Civilian and military students who came to LMA under the Erasmus+ program from the Romanian “Mircea Cel Batran” Naval Academy presented their higher education institution, and invited our students to choose their Academy for autumn semester studies. LMA students presented study opportunities at the University of Ljubljana (Slovenia), the University of Split (Croatia), the Nikola Vaptsarov Naval Academy (Bulgaria), and shared their practical experience on board the ships at Columbia Shipmanagement Ltd. (Latvia) and Naftomar Shipping and Trading Co. Ltd (Greece).
In 2023 as part of the Erasmus+ educational exchange program 130 LMA students went to foreign institutions, including: 19 students for studies, 111 for internship on board the ships. The geopolitical situation and inflation affected student mobility, as a large number of selected students, including graduates from Ukraine, took the opportunity to do internships on ships.
