On 9 May 2024, the Lithuanian Maritime Academy (LMA) had the privilege of hosting a delegation from Dunkirk, France. Led by Mr. Eric Vernier, the director of Iscid-Co International Business School, accompanied by his colleagues and a group of 14 students, the visit aimed to foster international collaboration and cultural exchange.
The visit commenced in Klaipeda, where the delegation was greeted with a presentation on „Klaipėda Opportunities for Foreigners: Navigating Cross-Cultural Teams” by Ms. Viktoria Paldauskė, Head of International House Klaipėda. This was followed by a presentation at the French transport company CMA CGM Group’s Klaipeda office, providing insights into the local business landscape. Additionally, the delegation had the opportunity to visit the Klaipėda State Seaport Authority, where Ms. Kristina Gontier, International Relations and Protocol Manager, delivered a presentation on „Green Port: New Port Authority Fleet.”
The cultural aspect of the visit included a tour of the Lietuvos jūrų muziejus, offering a glimpse into the maritime history and heritage of the region.
The visit was meticulously organized and supervised by the Chambre de Commerce Franco-Lituanienne, under the guidance of President Mr. Anthony Poullain and Executive Director Mr. Guillaume Douville. It served as a platform for fostering stronger ties between Lithuania and France, while providing valuable educational insights for the visiting students.
