3 STEPS TO BECOME AN INTERNATIONAL STUDENT AT LITHUANIAN MARITIME ACADEMY
Step 1. Entry Qualification
– Certificate of full secondary education with all annexes;
– Certificate of state exams according to home country study requirement;
– A valid document confirming the minimum level B1 of English language proficiency (TOEFL, IELTS, LanguageCert IESOL, etc.);
– Medical certificate for seagoing studies;
– Transcript of Records if you are a student of any higher educational institution – in ToR must be mentioned all passed subjects, study hours / credits, evaluation;
– Diploma of any previous higher education with all annexes;
Step 2. Application
Application for Autumn 2024/2025*
– Admission fee – 100 EUR (non-refundable).
– Application deadline – 31 July**;
**Beginning of studies for first year students – October;
*After the application is received, LMA will proceed with qualification recognition following Centre for Quality Assessment in Higher Education recommendations. If required applicant could be asked to take the general competences and knowledge test or interview. The responsible specialists will inform the applicant.
Step 3. Admission
– Admitted applicants will get study offer letters with request to pay tuition fee;
– First year tuition fee for 2024 (refundable);
– Applicate for dormitory room;
– After the payment is received applicant will get study agreement and could start temporary residence permit application procedures***;
***If residence permit application is refused by the Migration Department under the Ministry of the Interior of the Republic of Lithuania, paid tuition fee and dormitory deposit will be refunded, except for the bank transfer fee.
Admitted students shall be responsible and take care of all travel documents on their own: travel passport, insurance and traveling expenses.
