The Maritime Science Reading Room is a structural unit of the VILNIUS TECH Library, responsible for ensuring the resources of scientific information needed for studies and scientific-applied research, administration of the results of scientific activities, and publication in national information systems.
We aim to be an exceptional maritime library by assembling information resources in the fields of maritime engineering, maritime technology, maritime transport and maritime management.

LOANING OF PUBLICATIONS
The Maritime Science Reading Room users can use the self-service devices for borrowing and returning of books.
Publications can be borrowed for a few days, a month, or a semester only by LMA students and employees with an ID card or student card (LSP).
SEARCH FOR PUBLICATIONS AND ORDERING
You can search for publications and order publications loaned home in the LMA virtual library.
EXTENSION OF THE DEADLINE FOR THE RETURN OF PUBLICATIONS
You can extend the loan by visiting the Maritime Science Reading Room on your own, using the self-service device, by writing an e-mail, or by calling.
RETURNING OF PUBLICATIONS
The return date of borrowed publications can be checked by logging into ‘My account’ in the LMA virtual library.
SETTLEMENT WITH THE LIBRARY
All students completing their studies at LMA (before the awarding of diplomas or termination of studies) must settle with the library (return all borrowed publications and pay for those lost or not returned on time)
INFORMATION SERVICES
LMA students and course attendees are advised on the search for information sources, compiling a bibliographic description and other issues related to access to information sources.
Information services are provided by phone, E-mail, and by consulting at the Maritime Science Reading Room.
PAID SERVICES
Paid printing, copying, and scanning services are provided at the Maritime Science Reading Room.
OTHER
You can buy books published by LMA and souvenirs with LMA features at the Maritime Science Reading Room.
The library is equipped with RFID equipment for the use and protection of funds.
