The 1st Transnational Kick-off Meeting of the EU Project Sea4SHORE was successfully conducted at Riga Technical University on April 4th-5th, 2024.🚢

The project aims to address the challenge of integrating seafarers into shore-based occupations that face a shortage of experienced personnel with maritime expertise.🌊

🤝Project Partners:

Riga Technical University (Latvia)

MARITIME INNOVATORS (Turkey)

Lithuanian Maritime Academy (Lithuania)

The Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (Spain)

IDEC (Greece)

The University of Rijeka (Croatia)

The primary objective of the Sea4SHORE project is to extend the career opportunities of seafarers by integrating them into shore-based occupations that face a shortage of experienced personnel. By leveraging the skills and experience acquired by seafarers during their time at sea, the project aims to create pathways for them to pursue fulfilling careers on land. This not only benefits individual seafarers by providing them with sustainable employment options but also addresses the labor shortage in shore-based industries, ultimately contributing to the overall growth and stability of the maritime sector.⚓️🛟
